Goodbye Magical Christmas Break…

As we swept away the brittle pine needles and thanked God that our beyond dead tree had not caught on fire, we said a sad farewell to two weeks of lazy mornings, staying in pajamas almost all day, unwrapping a stream of surprises, endless playing, morning art projects, happy baking, visits from grandmas and grandpas and cousins, and lots of time for cuddling in front of cozy fires with daddy who didn’t have to go to work.

I think the only thing getting us through the return to the reality of school and work and routine tomorrow morning is knowing that the magic of Christmas is only outdone by the wonder and splendor that is the awards show season in the entertainment industry.

Moms without Blogs is basically me, Lee, who wonders every single day how in the hell am I going to find the time to write a blog post? I\'m a mom to three kids (ages 9, 7, and 4) who are insanely gorgeous, insanely active, insanely demanding, insanely life-affirming and who have almost driven me insane. In good and bad ways. I work as a producer in reality television, I fold all kinds of laundry, I am picky about how my dishwasher is loaded, I yell entirely too much at my kids, I like desert skies and how my skin feels after a dip in the ocean, I married my soul mate even though I don\'t believe in soul mates really, I believe that laughing \'til it hurts is where it\'s at, I\'m a sucker for putting little treats into the bowls of our three dogs each night, I love driving my 1974 orange convertible Karmann Ghia, I write when inspiration strikes, and summer is my season.
